    Atkins Diet Recipes

    Even with his death in 2005, Dr. Robert Atkins legacy lives on via the nutrition program he created that raised eyebrows of various health experts. There is also his established company that has started to alteration its business strategy via a number of products. It has expanded really well where they introduced a good deal of delicious Atkins diet recipes. It ranges from beverages, appetizers, first courses, major courses, grains & breads and desserts.

    Beverage
    Avocado Gazpacho Smoothie is one of the Atkins diet recipes that is a amazing source of vitamin C, thiamine and riboflavin.
    Ingredients: 1 minute avocado, 1 cup water, 2 tablespoons plain mild goat cheese, 1 tablespoon heavy cream, 1 tablespoon cold water, 2 teaspoons fresh lime juice, 2 teaspoons fresh chives, 1/8 teaspoon salt
    Preparation: place cut- up avocado in a blender and contribute the rest of the ingredients then blend until smooth.

    Buffalo Chicken Wings is one of the Atkins diet recipes that is a pleasure as a finger food.
    Ingredients: 1 large egg, 1 cup vinegar, 1.2 cup oil, 1 teaspoon salt, 1.2 teaspoon pepper, ? teaspoon garlic powder, ? teaspoon celery salt, cayene, 2 pounds chicken wings, 1 cup mayonnaise, ? cup sour cream, 1/3 cup blue cheese, 1 chopped scallion, 1 tablespoon lemon juice and 1 teaspoon chopped garlic
    Preparation: preheat the chicken wings in the oven to 450F. Beat the egg in a bowl then contribute the vinegar, oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, celery salt and cayenne. Stir it well until everything has been combined. Dip the chicken wings into marinade and arrange on a large baking pan. Bake it for thirty minutes while you turn and brush into the marinade until crisp. As for the dipping sauce, just contribute the remaining ingredients.

    First Course
    Asian Vegetable Bowl is one of the Atkins diet recipes that is very light and only takes a little time to serve.
    Ingredients: 6 cups chicken broth, 4 tablespoons soy sauce, 2 cups bok choy, 4 ounces mushrooms, 1 tablespoon ginger, 1 garlic, 1 Thai chili, 1 cup tomatoes, 3 green onions, 6 ounces tofu, 1 carrot, 1 ? tablespoons cilantro
    Preparation: place broth and soy sauce in a saucepan and let it boil. Add the bok choy, mushrooms, ginger, garlic and chili. Let it simmer for five minutes until the bok choy is tender and mushrooms are tender. Add the rest of the ingredients and heat for one minute.

    Main Course
    Asparagus with Walnuts is one of the Atkins diet recipes that ideal in springtime.
    Ingredients: 1 pound asparagus, ? onion, 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar, 1 teaspoon mustard, ? packet sugar, ? teaspoon salt, ? teaspoon pepper, ? cup olive oil, 1 pinch salt, pepper, 4 cups spring salad mix and ? cup walnuts
    Preparation: steam asparagus until it's crisp and tender. Drain it and pat it dry. Mix in a bowl the shallot, vinegar, mustard, sugar, salt and pepper. Gradually whisk in oil. Divide the lettuce on four plates and arrange the asparagus on top then sprinkle with walnuts.
